expanding potential, enriching lives

IT ALL STARTED WITH THIS WONDERFUL FELLOW

The seed was first planted in my heart in 1996 when I was able to candy stripe in the PICU. I met the sweetest little boy named JJ, who had lived in the PICU for a couple of years due to his medical condition. After he had his 3rd birthday in the unit, it was decided he would need a better place to grow up and thrive. Because SC did not have a medically fragile children's home this sweet boy was sent to NC. Over 20 years later SC still does not have a medically fragile children's home! So we at Heaven’s Hope Inc. are working hard to pioneer this in SC.

The vision of Heaven’s Hope started with my dream of opening a children's home. Children are my passion. I have always worked with children whether it be in children's church and youth group or professionally when I worked in a girls group home. My time at the girls home really feed my passion of one day opening a home.  After I became an RN, I decided to start working in the Pediatric ICU. It was working with the medically fragile children that I saw a need that fit with my dream; A home for medically fragile children, one just like JJ needed. I shared my dream with some close friends and coworkers who encouraged me to pursue my dream and make it a reality. Now Heaven’s Hope is an official non profit as of fall 2017 and we have 2 major fundraisers, the Swamp Fox Highland Games and the Heaven's Hope Golf Classic.
